Hey! My name is Danny Tapia, the creator of the XR Community Library (XRCL), and I'm excited to announce the official private beta launch of our platform's first release, "Dimension 1" - your new home for discovering, sharing, and exploring virtual and augmented reality experiences! 🎉

I'm thrilled to announce that this launch is officially titled "Dimension 1," marking our first major release into the XR. Just as XR technology transports us to new realities and dimensions, our platform releases will follow this theme - with each major update taking you to a new dimension of features and possibilities.
Dimension 1 represents our foundation - the first world we're inviting you to explore in the ever-expanding universe of the XR Community Library. In future releases, you'll journey with us to Dimension 2, Dimension 3, and beyond, each bringing new features, enhancements, and experiences to our XR community.
📖 My Journey Creating XRCL 🥽
When I first conceived the idea for the XR Community Library, I envisioned a platform that would solve a problem I personally faced as an XR Developer: finding a centralized place to showcase all my multi-platform XR experiences. Having started development for the Nreal Light and later expanding to build for various XR devices, I needed a simple way to share my work with the world. Originally, I planned to release XRCL in January 2025 during our XR Tech Conference, but I decided to take some extra time to ensure I delivered an MVP (Minimal Viable Product)
Some of you may remember our teaser trailer released back in December, which hinted at what was to come. The wait is finally over, and I'm thrilled to invite you to this exclusive Dimension 1 private beta!
🌐 What is XR?
XR (Extended Reality) encompasses Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR). It refers to technologies that either immerse you in virtual worlds (VR), overlay digital objects on the real world (AR), or blend virtual objects with your physical environment (MR).
🎯 What Are XR Experiences?
XR experiences are apps, games, or interactive content created for XR platforms. They range from immersive VR games and educational simulations to practical AR tools that enhance daily life. What makes them unique is how they transform the way we interact with digital content by using spatial computing to create more intuitive and engaging experiences.
📽️ From Waiting to Experiencing: My Vision 📽️
In our December "Waiting" trailer, I wanted to capture the essence of what the XR Community Library aims to solve. The trailer followed three characters who represented different segments of the XR community:
- RED - An XR Developer waiting for his XR experience (Represented me [Danny] XR Developer
- BLUE - A Teen Gamer who had grown bored with existing XR games, waiting for new experiences ( XR User)
- GREEN - An XR Headset manufacture Industry Worker seeking better XR solutions for his workflow for getting more users to discover his VR headsets ( XR Hardware/Headset Manufacturer)
Each character faced the same challenge I saw in the market: waiting for a centralized place to discover and share quality XR experiences. The mysterious purple glow that eventually emanated from their headsets symbolized the arrival of the XR Community Library – the solution I've been working hard to create.
The trailer concluded with the message "See why the wait for XR is over" – and today, with the launch of Dimension 1, I'm making that promise a reality! 🚀
